As an instructor I specialize in preparing students for their college Applied Music Program audition providing them with the required letter of recommendation and the requirements needed for a successful audition.

I'm vey blessed to have graduated from the Applied Music Program at El Camino College, CA, in Pipe Organ and Chorale Studies. I began learning guitar at age fourteen, the electric bass at age sixteen and acoustic guitar at age eighteen. I was very fortunate to become a church musician and go on to be one of the worship leaders at Fruit Of The Vine Church in Whittier CA. I have also worked on various secular ensemble projects ranging in genres from Surf Rock to Folklorico. During my time at El Camino I studied with professional musicians and El Camino staff members: Dr. James Hurd, Dr. Joanna Medawar Nachef and Dr. Dane Teter. I graduated from High School in 1996 where I was a member of the high school choir, as well as classical guitar enthusiast. I also played the piano, organ, keyboard and the family of guitars as church musician at Fruit of the Vine Church. I was also a member of the Church Board at Fruit of the Vine during my thirteen years of service.

Currently I am actively involved with the Jarocho Music group and am a part of the monthly teachers meetings at the Mexico Culture Center located in Santa Ana CA.

“Actually enjoying practice time and experiencing the fulfilling sense of accomplishment once the student is done with their practice time, is what I will help the student experience. My approach to teaching gives the student what they need in order to accomplish their musical desires according to their learning style so that they are able to maintain the inspiration of practicing. I get a tremendous sense of fulfillment from seeing students succeed no matter how simple the exercise or piece may be that we are working on. By choosing to take lessons the student will find that it will open up the world to them even more so. We will never take on more than what we can chew, but rather will develop from the previous success in order to maintain an enjoyable learning experience that is both effective and productive in meeting the student's musical goals.
